What is the animation in UP (by Disney) considered? 3D?
Ok, so the animation from UP is considered 3D in comparison to something like 101 Dalmatians, which was 2D. But there is the option to view the movie in 3D at the movie theater with special glasses. What is the animation considered then?
It would still be 3d animation. They are going to do Beauty and the Beast in Stereoscopic 3d (S3d) so the animation will be the old flat form but in S3d.
Because of the confusion between 3d animation and S3d there has been some animated movies that were reported as being S3d but turned out it was only in 3d animation. Like Planet 51, it did not come out in S3d but some websites said it would be before its release.
